The chicken parm was incredible and the service was top notch. I was in town for work and decided to stop here for dinner. It didn't disappoint.

A good place to grab dinner and watch the game on their many TVs at the bar. My husband and I made last minute reservations here after deciding to eat downtown after our event nearby. Both the server and hostess were pleasant to us. Place is overall clean and contemporary. Food was decent. Very enjoyable. Drinks were just OK. They tasted very basic to us. Maybe we came on an off night, who knows. When we are downtown again and in need of a decent dinner, we for sure will consider Roanoke again.

Very kind staff. The food came out pretty fast even though it was rush hour during Lollapalooza. It's a pretty classy place-- I felt very underdressed for the environment. The bathrooms are oddly placed upstairs down a long hallway. Don't trip on the stairs, be careful since they're steep!

The food was delicious and came out timely. Our Server Nick was the most enjoyable part of the night as he provided quick service and made sure we were taken care of at all times. He was hilarious and definitely made the dining experience one of my favorite in Chicago.

What a great spot with great service and food offerings. We watched the wnba all star game Saturday night and the bartender was very engaging and added to the fun of our experience. The variety of food and drink offerings do not disappoint. The hostess with the dress vest and braids was very accommodating and checked on us often which was an extra surprise. We later learned it was the manager and we were impressed with the humble hospitality she provided. Thank you Roanoke. We will be back.

The Roanoke is a beautiful and cozy restaurant in downtown Chicago with an expansive menu. To start, service is amazing: the host and our waitress were both just wonderful and made it a great experience. I appreciate the variety on the menu. To drink, the Timeshare and French Alexander are nice (stay away from the Lafayette - we did not like this so luckily our waitress switched it out for us!). To eat, we split quite a few things. I highly suggest the Campanelle which was a generous portion and the perfect vegetarian entree with a load of hearty mushrooms, spots of ricotta, and delicious truffle flavor. The Buffalo Cauliflower was perfectly crispy, and the Cheddar Biscuits are not to be missed with their incredible honey butter. The Brussels sprouts were good but would be even better if they were fried. For dessert, the cookie skillet and cobbler are solid but nothing to write home about. I'd skip the Cheese Curds (kind of bland and over-fried) and the espresso martini, which was too milky and watery. 3.5 stars for food/drink but rounding up for excellent service!

Me and wife were in town and asked the hotel what they recommend for dinner. This place is what they recommended. We arrived and were greeted by a very friendly host. He seated us right away. The wife and I really liked the atmosphere. It was done really well inside. On to the food. We got the meatballs as an app. We both liked them. They were very solid. For mains I got the steak frites with fries and wife got the rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I got the cookie and ice cream for desert and was extremely happy I did. I also felt the old fashioned I got was of good quality. The wife also like her wine. The steak was cooked really well. It was also seasoned really good. The fries were also delicious. For the price I was really impressed with the taste and quality. The wife's chicken may have been the best chicken I've had. It was fantastic. The mashed potatoes were also amazing. They were very garlic forward which for me was great but if not a garlic fan may not be for you. Brussel sprouts were also good. The host and waitress came by numerous times. The food was amazing and the price for the quality was terrific. All in all this was an amazing dinner and considering price, quality and service I have to say this is a 5 star location. This is one of the few times I have given a 5 star but for reasons above I believe it's well deserved.

A friend and I met for lunch on 3/22/24. We decided to go to Cardozo's. Unfortunately, no one ever came to tend to us and so we left and decided to come here. We both were pleasantly surprised when we walked in how nice it is inside. Cozy atmosphere. My friend ordered the steak pizza and I ordered the reuben sandwich and substituted the rye bread for brioche bread. It came with delicious fries. Wonderful food and service was awesome! Hearty portions (see pics)! We had a male waitstaff and we really enjoyed his attention to detail along with being friendly. I'm anxious to come back here again! I promise it will be soon. A+++!!
